The constant -People oriented- rewriting story

By Valeria Scuderi, Head of People

This month marks one year since I have been part of PSh. The warmth and the challenges we had and still have ahead make it seem like we have known each other for a lifetime. Not just this year but the year before, as we have all felt some acceleration, the time is the same but the need for resolution of what comes along the way is different.

HR & People professionals have found ourselves with these new challenges and a rhythm to find the right tempo again. So much so that during 2021 I had the opportunity and the need to meet colleagues and specialists from other areas with the same questions, looking for answers in the “HR in the Digital Era” executive program at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, from where I took many reflections and ideas to continue rewriting this story. There, we reinforced that our focus should be placed on the employee experience and reskilling, leaving aside the old concept of “one-fits-all” and constantly listening to our people to generate better meeting spaces,

As a customer-focused company with a great collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit, I believe we have a great foundation for this paradigm shift to manifest itself, especially where People and HR are essential players when it comes to outlining a strategy.

Trust is the basis of everything, even if it sounds trite or old-fashioned. Entrepreneurship comes out of its status as a policy advocate on paper to enter as a goal scorer, destined to succeed in practice.

This new world leads us to be responsible with ourselves and to understand our contribution to the collective; that what we do or do not do has an impact on others, whether they are controlling us or not. We must be able to have a holistic and generous vision to be able to act assertively with the new contexts and, therefore, the new demands.

Therefore, we must be aware that the interests of those of us who are looking for the talent we want to attract and keep, may intersect with those of others who have nothing to do with my environment and stereotypes, but we are convinced that, from this conjunction and active listening, the best results will come out of it.
